Robert Sanchez, a Manchester United target, is reportedly being monitored by Chelsea as a potential Kepa Arrizabalaga replacement. Roberto De Zerbi does not like the goalkeeper for Brighton & Hove Albion. According to Football Insider, the 25-year-old has been a target for the Blues, who are competing with Tottenham and Manchester United for his signature.
Before joining Chelsea in September, Sanchez was Graham Potter’s first choice at the Amex. He has participated in 23 competitions and kept seven clean sheets. Jason Steele, on the other hand, has taken Sanchez’s place in Brighton’s starting lineup since De Zerbi succeeded Potter.
The English shot-stopper is preferred by the Italians. The West London giants may now be able to reunite Sanchez and Potter as a result of this. Despite Kepa’s commendable performance, Chelsea wants to acquire a new goalkeeper. In 27 appearances, the Blues stopper has kept 11 clean sheets.
Kepa, on the other hand, occasionally falters. Ben Foster, a former Premier League goalkeeper, claimed that he was responsible for Everton’s equalizer in the 2-2 draw this past weekend. Kepa has two years left on his contract, and Edouard Mendy hasn’t convinced Potter to sign him.
Kepa could use more worthy competition. The Senegalese were a predictable starter under previous mentor Thomas Tuchel. Kepa, on the other hand, has taken his place under Potter’s rule. The Blues goalkeeper could be brought to AC Milan in the summer, according to reports.
Sanchez still has two years left on his Brighton contract. His value on Transfermarkt is €32 million. Because of their time working together at the Amex, he has a positive relationship with Potter. However, Manchester United remain in the background as they search for David de Gea’s replacement.
Due to the fact that he has been on loan at Nottingham Forest, Dean Henderson’s future is uncertain. He is unlikely to accept a role as De Gea’s backup.
Christian Pulisic, an attacker for Chelsea, piques Manchester United’s interest once again :
As per English columnist Simon Phillips, Manchester Joined have reignited their advantage in Chelsea winger Pulisic. Since moving from Borussia Dortmund to Stamford Bridge in 2019, the American has had a difficult time.
He has started just nine of the Blues’ 24 games this season, scoring one goal and providing two assists, but he hasn’t become a regular starter. Phillips has let GIVEMESPORT know that the Red Villains are back on Pulisic’s tail after past interest:
“Over the weekend, I was informed that Manchester United have rekindled their interest in the USA international and are considering a summer move,” the author states. Phillips went on to make a reference to the possibility that Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is looking to improve his attack:
United are looking at profiles like Pulisic, and they really appreciate the player, “with Jadon Sancho struggling, Antony lacking consistency and fitness, and potential loans for Facundo Pellestri and Alejandro Garnacho.” Pulisic’s contract is only good for one year, but he could leave this summer. His value on Transfermarkt is €32 million.
