Abdullah Shafique Wiki: Abdullah Shafique is a Pakistani cricketer who was born on the 20th of November in 1999. He plays for Pakistan’s national team and for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. Shafique was born in the Pakistani city of Sialkot. His father, Shafiq Ahmed, has lived in Dubai for a long time. He moved there in 1991. He played cricket for a living and later became a coach. His uncle, Arshad Ali, played cricket for the United Arab Emirates on the world stage.
Abdullah Shafique’s Career – Domestic and International
In 2018 and 2019
He was bought by Multan Sultans in the 2018 Pakistan Super League draft, but he did not play in the league. On the 2nd of December, 2019, he played in his first first-class game for Central Punjab in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He got 133 runs. He played his first Twenty20 game on the 30th of September, 2020, for Central Punjab in the 2020–21 National T20 Cup. He did not get out in that match and scored 102 runs. So, he became the first Pakistani batsman to score a century on his first-class and T20 debuts.
In 2020
In October 2020, he was named to a 22-person “probables” squad for Pakistan’s home series against Zimbabwe. This was because of how well he played in the National T20 Cup. He was in Pakistan’s 15-person squad for the third One Day International (ODI) match against Zimbabwe in November 2020, but he did not play. He played his first Twenty20 International (T20I) match for Pakistan on the 10th of November, 2020, against Zimbabwe. In November 2020, he was chosen to be part of the 35-person Pakistan team that was going on a tour to New Zealand.
In 2021
In January 2021, the authorities put him on the Test team for Pakistan’s series against South Africa. In March 2021, he was named to Pakistan’s One Day International (ODI) squad for their series against South Africa and their Test squad for their series against Zimbabwe. Shafique was put back on Pakistan’s ODI team in June 2021, this time for a series against England. They also put him on the Test team for Pakistan’s series against the West Indies. In September 2021, Abdullah Shafique was put on the ODI team for Pakistan’s series against New Zealand. The next month, he was put on the team for the Pakistan Shaheens’ tour of Sri Lanka.
In November 2021, Abdullah Shafique was put on the Test team for Pakistan’s series against Bangladesh. On the 26th of November, 2021, he played his first Test match for Pakistan against Bangladesh. Shafique was put on Lahore Qalandar’s team for the 2022 Pakistan Super League (PSL) season in December 2021.
In 2022
Abdullah Shafique was put on Pakistan’s Test team for the series against Australia in February 2022. In the fourth innings of the first match, Abdullah Shafique got his first hundred. During the three test games, he scored a big 397. Shafique was put on Pakistan’s ODI (One-Day International) team in March 2022 for a series against Australia. He was put on Pakistan’s ODI team for the series against the West Indies in May 2022.
