Rishabh Pant, Team India’s wicketkeeper-batter, suffered many injuries after being involved in a horrible vehicle accident a year ago on December 30, 2023.
On Friday, December 29, the 26-year-old turned to social media to publish a photo of his legs during a workout in which the scar from the injury can be seen.
While the automobile accident was a big setback for the batsman, who appeared to be at the pinnacle of his abilities, Pant has recovered excellently after being treated for his injuries.
The left-handed hitter has been inundating supporters with optimistic updates on his recovery.
Last year, the Indian stumper was involved in an accident after his car hit a divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. When the accident occurred, the cricketer was alone in the car and smashed a window to escape.
The aggressive batter recently attended the IPL 2024 auction in Dubai alongside head coach Ricky Ponting and Delhi Capitals Director of Cricket Sourav Ganguly.
Pant is expected to make his long-awaited comeback during the IPL 2024, according to a report on ESPNcricinfo earlier this month. David Warner captained the Delhi franchise in his absence in the IPL 2023.
Rishabh Pant was cheated out of Rs.1.63 crore by a conman
The keeper-batter was recently in the headlines when it was revealed that he was scammed out of Rs.1.63 crore by a conman.
The conman, a 25-year-old former cricketer, purported to be an IPS officer from Karnataka and stayed in fancy hotels.
He was captured and detained at the Delhi Airport. Mrinank Singh, the accused, is a resident of Faridabad, Haryana. He used to play U-19 cricket for Haryana.
According to a Business Standard newspaper, Ravi Kant Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police-I, stated:
“He also duped cricketer Rishabh Pant out of Rs 1.63 crore in 2020-2021. Initial examination of his phone showed his contact with young female models and the presence of several films and images, some of which are quite offensive.”
Pant, a superb keeper-batter, has represented India in 33 Tests, 30 ODIs, and 66 T20Is, amassing 2271, 865, and 987 runs, respectively.
