The 25-year-old Harit was greeted warmly by his teammates, many of whom shared photos of themselves with him on social media. He was continuing his treatment for a knee injury with the Moroccan medical staff after moving in with the squad at their base in Doha.
Amine Harit, a midfielder for Morocco who was originally selected to play in the World Cup but was injured a week before the event, arrived in Qatar on Monday to join the team for Wednesday’s semi-final matchup with France.
The 25-year-old Harit was greeted warmly by his teammates, many of whom shared photos of themselves with him on social media. He has moved in with the crew at their base in Doha and was proceeding with his therapy for a knee injury with the Moroccan clinical staff.
On Instagram, Morocco’s captain Romain Saiss shared a picture of himself and Harit, writing: Finally, you are with us. May God heal you. This adventure is also yours.
Following his injury, Harit wrote on Twitter, “As you can imagine, beyond the physical pain, it’s hard to see the World Cup dream fly by a few hours before being able to live it.”
