A hamstring worry may prevent Ravindra Jadeja from playing in the IND vs. ENG Test series
Because of the injury concern, Jadeja is reportedly a dubious starter for the second Test of the five-match series against England, according to a TOI report. The Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam is scheduled to host the second match from February 02 to February 6.
In the just-finished Hyderabad Test, Ravindra Jadeja took five wickets in two innings. He was also excellent with the bat, scoring an important 87 runs in the first innings for the Men in Blue.
In the first Test, India lost heartbreakingly by 28 runs, unable to overcome a 231-run deficit. Taking seven wickets, Tom Hartley helped England dismiss the hosts for 202 on Day 4. Ollie Pope’s 196 runs earned him the title of Player of the Match.
Team India head coach Rahul Dravid stayed silent on Ravindra Jadeja’s hamstring ailment at the post-match news conference.
He said he hadn’t had a chance to talk to the physiotherapist but that he would speak with him shortly to find out how serious the injury was. Dravid stated:
“We’ll see. I must admit that I haven’t gotten a chance to talk to the physiotherapist yet. I’ll talk to him when I come back to find out what the situation is.”
Given that he has been one of India’s most impressive batsmen and bowlers in red-ball cricket in recent years. Ravindra Jadeja’s absence would be detrimental to the team’s chances in the second Test.
