This summer, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is thought to be interested in signing Manchester City defender Aymeric Laporte. Laporte, 28, has played a significant role in the Cityzens’ dressing room ever since he made the £57 million move from Athletic Bilbao to the club in the winter of 2018. He has been a piece of his group winning 11 prizes up to this point, including four Chief Association titles.
At the Etihad Stadium, the left-footed center-back with 20 Spain caps has fallen down the pecking order this season. Although he has only appeared in six games for the Premier League thus far, he has played 1309 minutes for the first team across all competitions.
According to Football Insider, PSG has investigated Laporte as a potential signing candidate during the summer transfer window. Manchester City is prepared to meet with potential suitors of the former France U21 player if a bid in the range of £40 million is made.
Laporte wants to leave the Premier League in the future; his contract at the Etihad Stadium ends in June 2025. In addition to the Parisians, a number of elite clubs are also interested in him.
If Laporte joins Christophe Galtier’s team now, Marquinhos, Milan Skriniar, Sergio Ramos, and Presnel Kimpembe would be in direct competition with him. He would be an excellent left-sided center-back in the 3-4-1-2 system that the Ligue 1 giants use.
In the interim, Manchester City hopes to acquire RB Leipzig player Josko Gvardiol this summer by making use of Laporte’s potential fee.
In advance of the next crusade, PSG is urged to sign a former Manchester City foundation player:
Luis Fernandez, a great Frenchman, has suggested that PSG, his former team, should try to re-sign Adrien Rabiot, a player for Juventus who has three months left on his contract.
He provided beINSports with additional information:
Because he is a young man who is reshaping the world, he must return to PSG. He has reached a remarkable level of tranquility. Since his return, he is fine, incredibly so.
“It’s possible that he made a minor error and almost left for Manchester United. He is still playing for his club, though, and he is winning at Juventus. Additionally, he had a successful World Cup season with France.”
Following that, Fernandez elaborated on the basis for his transfer claim:
“Rabiot was in the PSG uniform; He needs to be returned to us; enough players in the middle of the field. Some people mistake themselves for something they are not; They are not football players. He plans to come back. Your question.
“He is a player I want to see again at Paris Saint-Germain because he has all the qualities; He wore this shirt when the club was being formed. I have to see him again.”
Rabiot, a former Manchester City academy player, scored 24 goals and had 14 assists in 227 appearances for the Parisians.
