On Tuesday, July 25, at Amini Park, the Philippines played Vanuatu in the sixth match of the ICC T20 World Cup EAP Qualifiers. Vanuatu decided to bat first after winning the toss. They made the wrong choice, as they only achieved 97 in 19.3 overs.
With 36 runs off 35, Vanuatu’s Jarryd Allan, the wicketkeeper, had the highest-scoring total. The only other player to reach double digits was Ronald Tari, who scored 23 off of 26.
For the Philippines, Kepler Lukies, Daniel Smith, Huzaifa Mohammed, and Amanpreet Sirah each secured two wickets, while Liam Myott claimed one.
The Philippines needed 17.4 overs to complete the chase but only lost four wickets, so they didn’t appear to be in good shape. Although both of the openers were cheaply removed, Jordan Alegra played an important knock of 30 off 29.
As the Philippines reached the finish line, middle-order contributions were made by Daniel Smith, Josef Doctora, and Miggy Podosky. The captain of the Philippines, Daniel Smith, was named Man of the Match for his all-around performance.
Papua New Guinea and Japan squared off in the sixth match of the ICC T20 World Cup EAP Qualifiers at Amini Park. Japan won the toss and decided to bat first because they were on a two-game winning run.
PNG, however, had different ideas as they only fielded an 87-8 opposition. The best batter was Declan Suzuki, who had 34 out of 38.
Other than him, the only other Japanese batters to reach double digits were Kendel Fleming and Leo Sakurano. The captain of Japan, Kendel Fleming, scored 10 while Sakurano scored 12.
PNG employed 8 bowlers. John Kariko, Kabua Morea, Sese Bau, and Norman Vanua each took one wicket, while Semo Kamea took two wickets.
They responded by losing their early starters Tony Ura and Kiplin Dogra, but Assad Vala and Charles Amini kept the PNG inning steady. Charles Amini scored 30, while Vala finished with 28 off of 29. PNG won by six wickets and completed their innings in 15.1 overs.

After matchday three PNG leads the ICC T20 World Cup EAP qualifiers after defeating Japan handily. While the Philippines defeated Vanuatu.
On the points chart, Japan comes in second place after them. The final two positions are held by the Philippines and Vanuatu. with the Philippines having two points and Vanuatu having no victories.
PNG and Japan will square off once more in their upcoming match, and Vanuatu and the Philippines will also compete against one another.
