2 successive Golds at the World Cup for the Indian Compound Men Team. Today in Gwangju, South Korea, the Indian men’s compound team won the Archery World Cup 2022 Stage-Two competition, earning them the gold medal. After falling behind in the first two sets of the competition, the Indian team staged a comeback. It defeated France in a nail-biting finish by a very narrow margin of two points to claim the gold medal for successive World Cup stages. The Stage-One final was repeated by the fourth-seeded Indian men’s team, which was comprised of Abhishek Verma, Aman Saini, and Rajat Chauhan. They overcame their opponents, the sixth-seeded Adrien Gontier, Jean Philippe Boulch, and Qentin Baraer, by virtue of an impeccable finish in the third end, which clinched a victory for them by a score of 232-230.
